Description:
Fabrication & Installation of Feature Stair Structure. Massive stringers fabricated from 10″ x 10″ x 3/8″ steel square tube. Landing frame from the same square tube with 6″ x 6″ x 5/16″ trusses. 4’10” wide tread plates from press broken 3/4″ thick steel plate. Landing deck support from 3/4″ thick plate as well. The structure attaches to the floor with 3/4″ diameter bolts through the concrete slab and hangs from eight 1″ diameter rods welded to the beam above. These rods attach to the stair structure through 6 1/2″ diameter steel tube. The stair was fabricated in 8-10 ft sections to be able to be transported through the freight elevator.
The structure was primed with red-oxide primer in the shop and finished on-site by others. Glass guardrail & wooden treads by others.
