Architectural Elements is a team of artisans that design, fabricate, and install specialized architectural & landscape related projects. Working with all metals, wood, glass, & plastics, we can custom-fabricate any manner of decorative elements and architectural details– from intricate light fixtures to multi-story staircases.

Sales Assistant

We offer a wage of $18-$23 per hour with 6 paid holidays paid time offMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance is also available, along with a company 401(k) plan.

Job Summary:

Architectural Elements (AE) sales staff are one of the first points of contact for new and existing clients.  The sales team is responsible for driving sustainable financial growth in AE’s custom metalwork products by contacting potential clients, developing sales strategies, and forging strong relationships with clients.

Key Position Roles:

  • Provide clerical & administrative support to CEO/Sales
  • Build customer & client relationships with excellent communication & customer service
  • Assist in closing new sales by providing administrative support for coordinating clients’ requirements, developing & negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with AE’s business operations
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Protect AE’s value by keeping proprietary & customer information confidential
  • Review bids with the estimating department & stay engaged until closed
  • Manage sales schedule & assist with new client presentations
  • Propose potential sales opportunities by identifying potential partners & customers with a need for AE’s products
  • Screen potential clients/projects for AE by analyzing marketing strategies, contract requirements, evaluating options, and resolving internal priorities
  • Keep up-to-date on the architectural metalwork industry, related events/trends, publications, and announcements
  • Opportunities to provide support in creating/uploading marketing content for our website

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education & work experience in sales, marketing, or admin/assistant role
  • Solid construction/manufacturing industry & market knowledge
  • Ability to read, understand, & interpret construction documents & plans/drawings
  • Excellent time management, organization, & independent judgement skills
  • Strong command of both verbal & written English
  • Ability to build consensus & relationships among managers, partners, employees, and customers
  • Strong analytical & math skills and acute attention to detail
  • Outgoing, personable, dependable, team-player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems & MS Office applications
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus
  • Ability to work in our offices in Bellingham, Washington; there is no option to telecommute at this time.
