Working with all metals, wood, glass, & plastics, we can custom-fabricate any manner of decorative elements and architectural details– from intricate light fixtures to multi-story staircases.

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager supervises accounting staff and participates in day-to-day accounting department activities. Responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information for a company of less than 50 employees.

Key Position Roles:

  • Month and end-year process
  • Monthly credit card, bank, and loan statement reconciliation
  • Accounts payable & check runs
  • Accounting for intercompany transactions
  • Monthly progress billings
  • Sales and excise tax preparation and reporting
  • Posting cash receipts
  • General ledger
  • Payroll activities including applicable payroll tax reporting requirements, laws, and regulations
  • Fixed asset activity
  • Job cost reporting
  • Benefit plan administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee & customer data
  • Exhibit excellent document control & organization, digitally & physically

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience including management or supervision
  • Construction industry accounting knowledge and experience required
  • Strong understanding of small business accounting
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements & GAAP
  • Excellent time management, organization, & independent judgement skills
  • Strong data-entry, analytical, & math skills and acute attention to detail
  • Strong command of both verbal & written English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems, QuickBooks Enterprise, and MS Office applications
  • Ability to work in our offices in Bellingham, Washington; there is no option to telecommute at this time.
